NOTES: RHP Dustin McGowan will start on Thursday for the Blue Jays, who plan to recall him from Triple-A Syracuse prior to that outing. McGowan was on hand with the Jays at The Jake on Tuesday. … LHP Gustavo Chacin underwent an MRI exam on his left shoulder in Cleveland on Tuesday and the results revealed no more than a mild strain. … With the left-handed Sabathia on the mound for Cleveland, Toronto manager John Gibbons opted to move lefty Adam Lind down in the lineup, and subsequently bumped Wells, Thomas and Glaus up one spot. 1B Lyle Overbay was given a day off. … Gibbons said the Toronto coaching staff will keep a close eye on RHP Victor Zambrano’s pitch count during his start on Wednesday. Gibbons didn’t have a specific number in mind, but he indicated that he hopes Zambrano can pitch three or four innings — five, if everything goes perfectly.

Jordan, keep up the good work here. I love reading your reports and blog postings. I just started a website designed to try and get Aaron Hill voted into the all star game. Check it out at http://www.aaronhill-allstar.com if you get a chance.

it would be really nice to see dustin mcgowan do well , AJ Burnett has got to be the biggest waste of money on the currnt payroll, just watched him in clevland!!!!

The jury is still out on Burnett. Signing pitchers to big money, long term contracts is always a risk, but if you don’t, you don’t sign anybody. Burnett has always been inconsistant. He will go out there the next outing and be absolutely unhittable. I’m sure there’s a no-hitter in there somewhere, but there are going to be a lot of bumps in the road in between.

Are we able to change the slogan for the Jays this year on the web site?

How about:

Blue Jay Baseball, it looks a lot like Syracuse Chief Baseball

or

Blue Jay Baseball, Please Hammer Don’t Hurt Us

or

Contents are Fragile

what the **** is this ****. As a big jays fan I had high expectations to this team. Ya I know they have a lot of injuries but good teams overcome them. They are so inconsistent and it drives me insane. They blew six ****** gams already between the 8th and 9th inning. Thats pathetic. The bullpen pitches like a bunch of 10 year old girl scouts and John gibbons is worse than a house league baseball manager.
