Ohka is slated to rejoin Toronto’s rotation on Saturday in Minnesota. … Glaus and Hill will likely sit out of the HOF Game on Monday. … Jays travel secretary, Mike Shaw, suited up and took BP on the field at Citizens Bank Park on Sunday afternoon. He yanked one pitch just over the left-field wall for a homer as the Jays standing nearby erupted in cheers.

The Jays lost that game out of pure STUPIDITY. What in the world was Wells thinking. He was already in scoring position with Stairs up next who is hot right now. And please explain Troy and Clayton great base running. No wonder this team is in the hole. The three home runs mean nothing but personal gain. Why cant this team hit consistently. So JP.is willing to eat some more salary in trades go figure. Thanks for letting me vent

Yeah, it was pretty boneheaded, but Wells might just try something like that just to get the guys psyched up a bit. In this case, it didn’t work, and they needed 3 more runs to win anyway, so it ended up not making much difference. This was a game they should have won, and it sure is frustrating waiting for the hitting to turn on.
