Randy Ruiz, has now been out of the lineup 8 times in the last 10 games and only one guy-Cito Gaston knows why.

I find it frustrating, since Ruiz has shown he can hit and would be a great dh. Who cares he’s 31, Millar’s 38 today. Play Snider in right, Lind in left and Ruiz DH. What the worst that can happen-we lose the game-who cares. If Lind can’t play left, then put Ruiz at 1st base, short stop, anyplace, but get his bat in the lineup every single game left and lets see if he can continue to produce. Putting him in 2 times of 10 games only guarantees his failure.

Ruiz at DH, along with Snider, Hill, Lind, Encarncion and hopefully Dopirak give us 6 guys next year who have potential to hit 30 hr’s and drive in tons of runs, next year. What’s wrong with that-it only looks like it might make us competitive with the Yanks.

For Christ sakes Cito, wake the hell up and smell the roses, the number of games we win between now and the end of year doesn’t matter. You’re the one who begged for fans to come out to the games, well try putting the right damn lineup out there once in a while instead of the same old paper clipped one each game like you do now and maybe fans will attend. All you’re doing now is guaranteeing us fans more of the same next year-and guess what-look at the standings, it isn’t working.

So to Randy Ruiz-here’s a suggestion……. Take Millar for dinner, buy him a couple of drinks and get him to share that picture he has on someone who keeps penciling him into the lineup. Once you get it use it like he does.

No Ruiz in the lineup again for tonight. We play Chavez-not Phillips, Bautista, not Ruiz and neither Chavez or Bautista are likely to be with us next year. But yet we leave Phillips and Ruiz on the bench. WHY??????
