Jays interested in Doumit?
According to FOXSports.com, citing a Major League source, the Blue Jays have “mild” interest in Pirates catcher Ryan Doumit. The talks have not reached a serious stage according to the report.
Pittsburgh has made it known that they will listen to offers for the switch-hitting Doumit, who also has experience as a first baseman and right fielder. Doumit, 28, is under contract for two more seasons and has a two-year club option for 2012-13.
On Tuesday, Blue Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos noted that he still had his “toes in the water” on a few trades in his search for a catcher. Toronto needs help behind the plate now that it appears highly unlikely that catcher Rod Barajas re-signs with the team.

Question for Jordan or whoever can answer it…
The Braves signed Billy Wagner and thus the Red Sox will recieve the Braves 20th overall selection.
If the redsox were to John Lackey the angels would get the sox # 26 or so pick.
If the redsox also signed Marco Scutaro would the # pick go to the Angels and the # 26 pick go to the jays? or would the Jays get stuck with a secound rounder while the sox still had a first round selection?
