Where the hell is Hill?

hellchoke, Hill is injured with a tight hamstring. I believe they said hed be back by the 28th…?

Hey how about Morrow tonight? Looks to be pitching a good game so far.

I beleive Hill was slated to come off of DL on the 23rd, so he should be back somewhere around that time. (but this was according to last week friday so i am not sure if anythings changed)

its a shame emaus got injured but tim collins is looking like the real deal. Gs has talked about him over the past couple of years and he has done great each year with an amazing K/IP ratio and seems like hed be a nice closer.

Good Luck to Luis Perez as well, if he develops into a consistent pitcher like he is pitching right now, he could be an amazing prospect for us to have, giving us alot of depth to make a trade for some hitting (which i think we lack, atleast a depth of it)

I think a stronger 3B and SS could make all the difference to our lineup, especially when we look at the
1) the starting rotation/bullpen depth we have, i would say its more than any other team (anyone disagree?)
2) we have a solid outfield (vernon is back but is he consistent, regardless there is no way we can move him so thank god he is back)
3) good power hitting prospects at 1B and C

thus if we trade some of our depth at pitching to accquire either a 3B or **** and then sign through Free Agency for another spot, i dont see how we do not compete with the yanks and bosox.

This is assuming we give the kids some time to play and develop like Snider, Arencibia and Wallace.

making a lineup of

SS
Hill
Lind
Wells
strong 3B
Snider
Wallace
Arencibia
Ruiz/Fred Lewis (he doesn’t seem too good though)/ another person

That looks like spots 2-8 could hit 20+HR.

Got to give Overbay some credit for today’s game. Reached base 5 times with 2 hits and 2 runs scored.

goodluckdoc-Maybe you’re not aware, the Jays signed Hechavarria, he is our short stop in the making and could be a very good one. We do need a 3rd base prospect and a corner outfielder. However, keep an eye on Eric Thames at AA. He looks like he’s finally healthy and has lost of tools for a corner outfielder position-time will tell.

Excellent start from Morrow, who really is sort of just finishing spring training from a conditioning and strength point of view. I was pleased Cito took him out when he did, Morrow could be really special, but the 3 starts he missed in st, put him behind. No need to rush him to 100 pitches, maybe next start, maybe the start after that, it doesn’t matter how long it takes, this kid is definitely worth the wait-another ace in the making for sure.

Nice to see Overbay get a couple of hits and two walks, I hope it continues. Also, nice to see Snider get his second hr and go 2-5, could have been 3 for 5. He is slowly getting it, you can tell from his mannerisms at the plate. Sooner or later a bust out’s a coming. First rbi’s against a right hander for Bautista this year, but what a bust out.

All in all, a good recovery game after the weekend series.
