Regarding what just happened to Ruiz. I am old enough to remember when the Blue Jays did something similar with another potential first baseman. That first baseman went to Japan, had a good year, then came back and hit 50 home runs several times for one of the other teams in our division. He now has a really fat son playing for Milwaukee. I am not saying that Ruiz is going to do the same thing, but for one, I am hoping that he does! (Minus the fat son part.)
