Blue Jays pitcher Jesse Litsch was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Friday and is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair a labral tear in his right hip next week. Litsch is expected to miss four to six months following the operation.

The Blue Jays recalled left-hander Brad Mills from Triple-A Las Vegas to take Litsch’s spot in the rotation.
