NOTES: C Gregg Zaun underwent hand surgery on Thursday and manager John Gibbons said everything went well. Gibbons said Zaun will rejoin the Blue Jays in Toronto on Friday. … 3B Troy Glaus took batting practice at Yankee Stadium on Thursday and appears to be on schedule to come off the 15-day DL on Saturday. … SS Derek Jeter was a late scratch from the Yankees’ lineup.
UPDATE: After Thursday night’s game, Toronto GM J.P. Ricciardi said 3B Troy Glaus wasn’t likely to be activated from the DL this weekend against Texas. It’s possible that he’ll come off the DL at some point on the Jays’ upcoming road trip through Cleveland and Texas.
kind of off topic, but i need to know………….what happened to Pat Tabler????
Rance Mulliniks does an OK job, but Tabler was great. do you Jordan, or anyone else who reads this know whats going on there? Thanks, keep it up Jordan, GO JAYS!
I don’t know if its permanent. Last year Tabler did the majority of the games on Sportsnet, but both Mulliniks and Darrin Fletcher filled in a few games here and there. Maybe Tabler is just on vacation?
Basically, the three of them all have contracts dictating what # of games they will do.
Unfourtunitly, none of them want to do all the games. (and be away from family, all season – just like when they played)
