Jordan, I see from your tweets, that Farquhar is going today. I look forward to any comments you have on him.

A NOTE TO CITO……………………………

Play Lind in Left, Snider in Right and Ruiz DH…………..Play Lind in Left, Snider in Right and Ruiz DH…………..Play Lind in Left, Snider in Right and Ruiz DH…………..Play Lind in Left, Snider in Right and Ruiz DH…………..Play Lind in Left, Snider in Right and Ruiz DH…………..Play Lind in Left, Snider in Right and Ruiz DH…………..Play Lind in Left, Snider in Right and Ruiz DH…………..Play Lind in Left, Snider in Right and Ruiz DH…………..Play Lind in Left, Snider in Right and Ruiz DH…………..Play Lind in Left, Snider in Right and Ruiz DH…………..Play Lind in Left, Snider in Right and Ruiz DH…………..

No NO NO. Two or three of those should say Lind DH, Ruiz 1B.

Your right GS, Bautista has had a terrible spring thus far and has shown that he can’t possibly be a succesful leadoff hitter…. NOT. I agree I want to see Ruiz get a shot, but the guy is 32 already, not exactly a “kid”. Snider has not looked good so far and I believe looks destined to start the season at triple A. So my suggestion is Lind in left, Ruiz at DH, and Bautista in right. At least until someone forces my hand otherwise. As for Farquhar, I was checking out his stats and I was quite impressed, except for the fact that he gives up as many walks as he does hits. (avg 5 hits/9innings, avg 5 walks/9 innings). But if this guy figures out a little more control, optimistically, I think we may have our closer of the future. Exciting stuff no doubt. Also, Tallet is a joke and I pray he doesn’t make the rotation. He is too inconsistent to be depended on.

okgojays-We have to give Snider a break, he’s learning an new stance and arm position. Over the last couple of games he’s hit the ball hard, just at some guys so its looks to me like he’s starting to get it-give him another 5-7 games.
I suspect Bautista will come down to earth sooner than later and is not a long term guy for us, sooner or later that .202 average against right handers is going to show up, imo. Bautista can be in the lineup as dh against left handers when Ruiz plays first base and at that he will succeed, he will not succeed against a steady diet of right hand pitching-he never has.

I like how McCoy is hitting.

Farquhar’s walk ratio per 9 was better in 2008 than 2009, don’t know why. Hopefully it gets back to that or even improves on it and if so, he could be a nice one-no doubt.

Just to clarify, I’d like to see Ruiz in the lineup every day because I believe he could hit 25-35 home runs and drive in 100 if he does. .
Against left handers, he should play first, Overbay on the bench, Bautista in right, Snider in left and Lind as DH. Against right handers Ruiz should DH, Overbay play 1st with Lind playing left field, Snider in right and Bautista on the bench. McCoy can lead off the days Bautista’s on the bench.

That would give us the best offense possible and the best shot at winning.
