It would be great to see the Jays pound the Sox — especially stealing bases. However, after watching the Rays, I am not too concerned with winning. The MLB draft is a crap shoot. However, the Rays are a great example of what type of team you can assemble if you draft high and draft right. They have excellent young team that should give their fans lots to enjoy for years to come. Two or three years from now, supported by some good drafting, we may find ourselves in a similar position.

I mostly agree, burt, except that the Blue Jays are playing some pretty good ball themselves so far. I’m not getting much sleep, because I have to stay up until the end of the games this year! Here’s hoping 2-3 years from now, everybody else is trying to catch us. What I’m really looking forward to is to see if AA can build a Blue Jays business model such as Boston or Atlanta has, where they can stay in the hunt year after year.
