Well, so close to the July 31 trade deadline I thought that there would be more discussion regarding potential trades. In a nutshell, I am excited to see what Antho is able to do. However, maybe the best thing he can do is to move no one. As long as he is willing to offer arbitration to Downs, Frasor, Buck, etc. we may be looking at as many as 6 early picks. That would be huge. I would not like to see any of our Type A free agents go for anything less than a blue-chip prospect in a trade. Unfortunately, it may be harder for Antho to make trades now that he has proven his ability to obtain quality in return for the assets he choses to move. Again, it would be nice to see Antho fleece the Yanks, Red Sox, etc., but we may be better off just waiting and doing this re-build slowly through our own draft.
